Fascinated by forms and shapes created by nature,
I relate to sticks, found wood, leaves, petals etc.
Looking at them I wish to read their marks
and 'to hear their voices'.
Like humans these natural elements
first grow and then decay
in their individual environments
within the cycle of life.
Each has its own materiality and sensuality.
Each has its own story to tell.
By fusing natural material with a variety of material
like pigments, cold wax, thread and casein
my work combines man-made material
and not man-made material -
An attempt to give the natural pieces
an enhanced appearance, revealing their inner spirit.
I wish to refer to the beauty of nature and
To point to the coexistence of nature with culture.
We always belong to the world which we are part of.
